Workshop 'Saggar firing in an electric kiln'

Information on the workshop

This workshop is for people who have been working with ceramics for a while and have access to a kiln, either at home or at a club. Do you enjoy alternative firing techniques but only have an electric kiln? Then this workshop is for you.

In 2026, I will be offering several workshops again. This time in my own studio in Tilburg and with smaller groups.
The advantages are that I can show more and give everyone more attention. Currently, three are planned, but perhaps more will be added in the fall.

Content

During the workshop, we will go through the entire process. The morning is mainly theoretical; in the afternoon, I will give a demonstration, and you will get to work yourself.
We start at 10:30 AM and finish around 3:30 PM.

What to bring

During the workshop, we will not be making a saggar. You must bring your own saggar (fired) and biscuit-fired piece. You can download instructions for making a saggar below. All other materials are provided.

Cost

The price of the workshop is €115, including lunch.

If you're English speaking and want to participate in a workshop, please let me know. If there's enough interest I can organize a workshop in English.
